Helen Clark

Recovery, With and Post COVID-19

Helen Clark is a global leader on sustainable development, climate action, gender equality and women’s leadership, peace and justice, and global health issues. Patron of independent public policy think tank the Helen Clark Foundation, she was Prime Minister of New Zealand for three consecutive terms from 1999–2008, and a Member of Parliament for more than 27 years. 

She served two terms as Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme from 2009-2017, and was Chair of the United Nations Development Group, a committee consisting of the heads of all UN funds, programmes and departments working on development issues. She was made a Member of the Order of New Zealand in 2009 for services to New Zealand.
