Karen Silk


Karen Silk is a highly experienced financial services executive with a strong track record in building and transforming businesses across both Australia and New Zealand. In her current role Karen is leading the transformation of Westpac New Zealand’s outsourced services program along with their strategy and sustainability functions. As head of the Climate Change Committee, Karen is driving Westpac’s commitment to lending $10B towards climate change solutions by 2025. Karen has been a board member of the NZ Sustainable Business Council since 2017 and was appointed Chair in 2019. She has also been CEO of Westpac’s Funds Management business, BTNZ, since 2017. Before taking up her current role, Karen led Westpac NZ’s Commercial, Corporate and Institutional Banking business for seven years and was CEO of Westpac’s NZ insurance arm, Westpac Life. Karen is a graduate of Canterbury University and INSEAD Alumni.
