A year of progress

At a time with COVID still impacting our daily life, APEC's 21 economies have been working together chart a recovery that benefits people and trade in our region.

Already in 2021, leaders have joined together in a commitment to speed up the cross-border flow of COVID-19 vaccines, rejuvenate the World Trade Organisation and world-first action on services to support the movement of essential goods.

APEC is laying the groundwork for a more sustainable and inclusive future for all people, and economies have agreed to a five-year programme of work on reforms that will kick start growth, create new jobs and help combat climate change.
